Wanted to pass on an announcement from our public affairs team entitled “DAU Renewed as a Continuous Education Unit (CEU) Provider”:
DAU was renewed as an American National Standards Institute/ International Association for Continuing Education and Training (ANSI/IACET) Accredited Provider. As an Accredited Provider DAU is able confer Continuous Education Units (CEUs) for the completion of course work; providing members of the Defense Acquisition Workforce with a cost-effective and efficient way meet their requirements for currency under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). In addition to DAWIA certification, CEUs are accepted by a significant number of professional associations, such as PMI, NCMA, and others, as a means to obtain and maintain professional certification.
IACET is known as the premier standard-setting organization for continuing education and training. Since 2006, IACET has been approved by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) as a Standards Developer. During the Accredited Provider application process, the organization provides evidence that it meets the ANSI/IACET Standard for Continuing Education and Training.
IACET Authorized Providers are then required to re-apply and be reauthorized every five years as part of a rigorous evaluation and assessment process. This process ensures DAU coursework meets accepted standards and credit for completion can easily be traced and transferred to such things as professional credentials.
More information on IACET is available by clicking here.
Kudos also to our DAU life cycle logistics faculty team; our LOG 201 Product Support Strategy Development, Part B DAWIA Level II certification course served as one of several exemplar courses evaluated by the IACET assessment team.
