Content Manager Activity Checklist

As a Content Manager, your role is to ensure that content meets your users' needs  and is managed according to the governance plan.

Annual Tasks

  • Make a comprehensive review of all the content on your site. Update or delete content that is no longer relevant, current, or necessary.
  • Review permissions on your site. Ensure that only users who should have access to the site actually have access. If necessary, contact the  to update access permissions. Contact Help_Desk@dau.mil to request an changes to permissions for your site.
  • Check all hyperlinks on your site. Ensure none are broken and remove, repair, or update any that are.
  • Ensure all content on your site is really "yours" and not a duplicate. If you have a duplicate of a document owned by another site, delete the one from your site and use a link to refer to the original.
