Defense Acquisition University works with several external entities in granting college credit to workforce members who have completed DAU courses. These programs include:
DAU's Strategic Partnership Program: Students may view memorandums of understanding for partners offering credits for DAU courses toward a degree or certificate program with participating educational institutions.
Through this program, partner universities are offering the Defense Acquisition Workforce credit toward master degrees and certificates for achievement of Level II and Level III Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification.
*Please Note: Any DAU equivalent course being considered for transfer to another academic institution using the program must meet the institution's minimum grade requirements for transfer credits and other standard transfer of credit requirements of the academic institution.
For DAU College Credit Recommendations, the American Council on Education’s (ACE) College Credit Recommendation Service (ACE CREDIT®) has evaluated and recommended college credit for a number of DAU training courses. Click here for more information.
Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are handled by non-DoD organizations such as (but not exclusively by) the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET), and have broad applicability across public and private sector academia. For example, IACET authorizes educational providers to award the IACET CEU and DAU happens to be one of those institutions. Please click here for more information.
