Oct. 1, DAU deployed its new course, LOG 100 - Life Cycle Logistics Fundamentals. LOG 100 replaces LOG 101-Acquisition Logistics Fundamentals, and is now the first course in the Level I Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act certification portfolio for logistics.
LOG 100 uses a combination of traditional online course work, job support tools and current professional articles, to help new Life Cycle Logisticians understand how to integrate an affordable and effective product support strategy. Additionally, the course encourages learners to think critically about the interaction of product support elements and how such activities can impact Warfighter support.
Students who successfully complete LOG 100 are eligible to claim 15 continuous learning points (CLPs) or 1.5 continuing education units (CEUs). Before enrolling in this course, prospective students should have previously completed ACQ 101 – Fundamentals of Systems Acquisition Management.
Members of the Defense Acquisition Workforce who previously completed LOG 101 – Acquisition Logistics Fundamentals, are not required to take LOG 100 at this time.
