Welcome to the Acquisition Leadership Effectiveness Inventory. At this
site, acquisition professionals will find tools to help them assess their
learning needs, establish goals to meet those needs, and create an Individual
Development Plan (IDP).
Click on Overview of ALEI (from the Main Menu) to learn more
about the competency model on which the ALEI is based and about the strategic
purposes of the site.
This site puts assessment processes, which would normally take weeks
to complete, right on your desktop, for direct access and instant feedback,
when you want it. The assessment and other functionalities available on
this site are extensive, and full use of the several tools available here
can take several hours, so you are encouraged to explore the site fully
before using it.
Exploration of the site takes about one half hour, during which it is
recommended that you download the Shockwave software that enables use
of the ALEI competency assessment instrument. Return to the site when
you have more time, have collected any reference materials you might wish
to have nearby, and are prepared to use the tools you selected. You may
return to the site as often as you like.
