Clinger Cohen Act Status

You may think you have more important things to work on than adhering to the Clinger-Cohen Act. You're wrong. Note the following: By not following the Clinger-Cohen Act you can kill your program.

Learn how to comply with the most recent changes to the DoD 5000-series, specifically implementing Sec. 811 of the FY01 Authorizations Act and Sec. 8102(b) of the FY01 Appropriations Act. In general, Congress is demanding DoD document its planning and operational information systems (individually) and its departmental architecture. It forbids or prohibits contract awards, funding and milestone approvals for non-compliance and requires detailed progress reporting to Congress. Also learn new aspects of DoD system terminology such as mission-critical and mission essential information technology.
