Mr. Jim Wilson is a Research Staff Member in the Cost Analysis Research Division (CARD) of the Institute for Defense Analyses (IDA). Prior to joining IDA, Jim served as the Principal Assistant for Program Analysis in the Office of the Under Secretary of the Air Force; Chief of the Program Evaluation Office; Deputy Chief of Staff Programs and Resources, Headquarters, US Air Force; and as a member of the OSD Cost Analysis Improvement Group (CAIG). Jim also has held positions in the acquisition community as a deputy program manager, a project manager, Chief of a Business Management Division, and a system engineer. Jim also served in the Defense Acquisition University as a Professor of Business and Cost Estimating at the Ft. Lee campus.
