Ms. Lush is currently the lead senior analyst for the DoD 5000 acquisition policy series within the Office of the Secretary of Defense (Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics)/Acquisition Resources and Analysis. She is the co-leader for the Defense Acquisition Policy Working Group responsible for the recent rewrite of the directive, instruction, and regulation that resulted in a newly revised acquisition process. Ms. Lush is also currently the co-leader for the DoD Acquisition Knowledge Management Initiative.
Prior to her current assignment, Ms. Lush served as a senior program analyst in the Office of the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition Reform. She has also held the position of Director for the Army Systems Acquisition Review Council and a variety of other policy and procurement positions within the Department of the Army, including major defense acquisition program offices. She has twice received the Vice Presidentıs "Hammer" Award for Reinventing Government.
Ms. Lush is currently a Ph.D. candidate at Virginia Tech focusing on studies of adult learning, organizational behavior, and knowledge management. She also has a M.S. in Adult Learning and Human Resource Development and is a lifetime member of the National Honor Society, Phi Kappa Phi.
