As a career broadener, Ms. Eschmann has rotating duties and temporarily serves as acting director for professional development. In addition she currently works Air Force contract financing issues, supports progressive efforts to streamline access to financial systems and participates in the Air Force critical infrastructure protection program.
Ms. Eschmann began her Air Force career in 1985 as a palace acquire (intern) assigned to Headquarters Pacific Air Forces located on Hickam AFB, HI. She remained there, progressing through the ranks as budget officer and lead budget analyst, responsible for budgeting, distributing and monitoring the execution of major programs. These included communications, intelligence, civil engineering and civilian pay which supported foreign nationals in three countries with three different wage systems, burdensharing complexities and foreign currency impact. Also, served as analyst for different installations, which included: Clark AFB (Philippines), Yokota, Kadena, and Misawa AFB¹s (Japan), Anderson AFB (Guam), Osan and Kunsan (Korea) and Elmendorf and Eilsen AFB¹s (Alaska).
October, 1993, Ms. Eschmann relocated to the Pentagon and joined Headquarters Air Force, Air Force Reserve Financial Management. She served as appropriation Manager for Air Force Reserve (AFR) Operation and Maintenance (O&M) appropriation responsible to formulate, justify and present the AFR O&M Budget Estimate Submission (BES) to OSD(C) and the Presidents Budget (PB) to Congress.
Her next assignment, July 1998, was as lead budget analyst for Air Force Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) assigned to the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Air Force Budget Investment, Military Construction Directorate. She remained there until October 2000 when she began her current position.
Ms. Eschmann holds a BS in Information Systems and Accounting and an MA in Economics. She attended Air War College by seminar and is a member of American Society of Military Comptrollers.
