As Professor of Financial Management and Professor of Systems Acquisition, responsible for instructing government and defense industry personnel in earned value management, cost estimating, financial management, management information systems, risk management, decision analysis, project management, and operations research. Senior consultant to U.S. Government agencies and industry, and to foreign governments.

FMC Corporation

Director of Finance, Advanced Systems Center: Responsible for financial analysis, pricing, cost estimating, contract negotiations, information systems, facilities and division administration. Established the financial department of this start-up business development division. Developed all new financial systems to facilitate division financial management.

Director of Information Resources, Naval Systems Division: Responsible for management of business and technical computer based systems. Implemented a manufacturing resource planning project that, within eighteen months, reduced inventory by 50%, cut past due releases by 60%, and cut production lead times by 6 months.

Director of Planning, Naval Systems Division: Responsibility for strategic and operational planning. Led division wide programs to change the cultural and to transition to a highly competitive market. Initiated Total Quality Management efforts division wide.

U. S. Army

Assistant Project Manager, Sergeant York Division Air Defense Gun Program Office: Developed overall system acquisition strategy, detailed system specifications, system operational requirements, system and project risk analysis, and cost and operational effectiveness analysis. Managed the business/finance department.

Roland Air Defense Missile System Staff Officer, US Army General Staff, the Pentagon: Developed acquisition strategy, system requirements, cost and operational effectiveness analysis, and risk analysis. Head of the US Army Air Defense Delegation to NATO Panel on Air Defense Missile Systems.

Systems Analysis Department Manager: Responsible for developing, maintaining and operating large-scale computer wargames for the determination of air defense weapon system capabilities, force level requirements and cost effectiveness. Managed the Analysis of Alternatives for the Department of the Army Study for the Patriot Air Defense Missile System.
